KathNiel and DonBelle series hit international screens
Acclaimed ABS-CBN television series 2 Good 2 Be True and He’s Into Her are heading to international screens.
2 Good 2 Be True stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, known together as KathNiel. The series will make its way to Vietnam, dubbed in the country’s local language, and will air weeknights at 8 p.m. through the pay TV channel ONCINE.
And in case you missed it, Kathryn Bernardo was honored with the Outstanding Asian Star award at the recent Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2023 for her portrayal of Ali Fajardo in 2 Good 2 Be True. The actress paid tribute to healthcare workers during her acceptance speech saying, “It's always been more than just sharing about a love story to our audience, but also spreading awareness about Alzheimer's disease and educating people about those who struggle with it, and how we can offer them the best support they need. This project made me appreciate our nurses and our healthcare workers so it was really more than just another TV show for me."
On the other hand, the Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano or DonBelle starrer He’s Into Her is currently being broadcast in Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, and other Sub-Saharan countries via StarTimes channel. Belle Mariano also won as Outstanding Asian Star at last year’s Seoul International Drama Awards, making her the first Filipina then to win the award.
KathNiel are set to embark on solo projects, with Kathryn starring in A Very Good Girl and Elena 1944. Daniel for his part will star in the Ricky Lee-story based film Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan with fellow Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo.
Meanwhile, DonBelle topbill the highly-anticipated primetime series Can’t Buy Me Love which will premiere on Netflix on October 13, three days ahead of its showing on free TV.
